1. General Information

Welcome to Casa Hostel Pirna. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and the booking of accommodation services at our hostel located in Pirna, Germany.

By making a reservation or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before booking.

2. Booking and Reservation

2.1 Booking Process

Reservations can be made through our website, booking platforms, email, or telephone. A booking is confirmed once you receive a written confirmation (email) from us.

2.2 Booking Confirmation

Upon successful booking, you will receive a confirmation email containing:

• Reservation number
• Check-in and check-out dates
• Room type and number of guests
• Total price and payment details
• Cancellation policy

2.3 Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided during booking is accurate and complete. This includes names, contact details, and the number of guests.

3. Prices and Payment

3.1 Prices

All prices are displayed in Euros (€) and include the applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) as required by German law. Prices are per room/bed per night unless otherwise stated.

3.2 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

• Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard)
• Debit cards (EC-Karte)
• PayPal
• Bank transfer (for advance bookings)
• Cash payment at reception

3.3 Payment Terms

Depending on the rate selected:

• Flexible Rate: Payment is due upon check-in or check-out
• Non-Refundable Rate: Full payment is charged at the time of booking
• Group Bookings: A deposit of 50% may be required upon booking, with the balance due 14 days before arrival

3.4 City Tax / Tourism Tax

Additional local taxes (Kurtaxe/Beherbergungssteuer) may apply as per local regulations in Pirna/Saxony. This will be collected separately if applicable.

4. Cancellation Policy

4.1 Flexible Bookings

• Free cancellation: Up to 48 hours before check-in (14:00 local time)
• Late cancellation: Cancellations within 48 hours will be charged one night's accommodation
• No-show: Full booking amount will be charged

4.2 Non-Refundable Bookings

Non-refundable rates cannot be cancelled or modified. The full amount is charged at the time of booking and is non-refundable.

4.3 Group Bookings (6+ guests)

• Free cancellation: Up to 14 days before arrival
• Cancellation within 14 days: 50% of total amount charged
• Cancellation within 7 days: 100% of total amount charged

4.4 Modifications

Modifications to your booking are subject to availability and may result in price changes.

5. Check-in and Check-out

5.1 Check-in Time

Standard check-in: 15:00 - 22:00

Late check-in after 22:00 must be arranged in advance. Additional fees may apply for very late arrivals.

5.2 Check-out Time

Standard check-out: 11:00

Late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability. Additional charges may apply.

5.3 Identification

In accordance with German registration laws (Bundesmeldegesetz), all guests must present valid identification (passport or national ID card) upon check-in. This information is required for the mandatory guest registration form (Meldeschein).

5.4 Minimum Age

Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or provide written parental consent.

6. House Rules

All guests must adhere to the following house rules:

• Quiet hours: 22:00 - 08:00
• No smoking: Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas (German Non-Smoker Protection Act)
• No illegal substances: Possession or consumption of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited
• Visitors: Unregistered visitors are not permitted in guest rooms
• Pets: Pets are not allowed unless prior approval is obtained
• Respect: Please be respectful of other guests and staff
• Property: Guests are responsible for any damage caused to hostel property
• Keys/Access cards: Lost keys/cards will incur a replacement fee

7. Liability

7.1 Guest Property

Casa Hostel Pirna is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to guests' personal belongings unless caused by our negligence. We recommend using the safety deposit boxes provided.

7.2 Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited in accordance with German civil law (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch - BGB). We are not liable for:

• Indirect or consequential damages
• Events beyond our control (force majeure)
• Guest negligence or misconduct

7.3 Damage by Guests

Guests are liable for any damage caused to the hostel, its furnishings, or equipment during their stay. Costs for repairs or replacement will be charged to the guest.

8. Data Protection (GDPR)

We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz - BDSG).

8.1 Data Collection

We collect and process the following data:

• Name, address, and contact information
• Passport/ID information (legal requirement)
• Payment information
• Booking preferences and history

8.2 Data Usage

Your data is used for:

• Processing reservations and payments
• Legal compliance (guest registration)
• Communication regarding your stay
• Improving our services (with consent)

8.3 Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Request data deletion (where applicable)
• Data portability
• Object to processing
• Withdraw consent at any time

9. Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)

In accordance with § 312g Abs. 2 Nr. 9 BGB, the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for accommodation services if the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.

This means that once a booking is confirmed, the standard 14-day withdrawal right for online purchases does not apply. Please refer to our cancellation policy (Section 4) for details on cancelling your reservation.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Casa Hostel Pirna and protected by German copyright law (Urheberrechtsgesetz). Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pirna, Germany.

For consumers within the European Union: You may also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that achieves the original intent as closely as possible.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
